How does MF Music promote the artists?
How do we work for & with the artists:
- We check which Venue we think is MOST SUITABLE to the style of the artist
- We prepare promotional packages with biography - photograph - personal details - song list & list of previous engagements (as reference)
- We offer the package to the Venues suitable for their open period (s)
- If they are interested we prepare the contracts to each party, get them signed by each party and send them back signed by MF Music as soon as both parties have returned their signed copy.

What about work permits and visas?
MF Music or in some cases the Venue apply for the working permit.
Some countries allow to work without working visa (for short term engagements) and some not (Scandinavian countries Switzerland)
For such countries you have to pick up a VISA at the country's embassy when the working permit is granted !
The venue management will apply for your work visa and in case you have to fill the application forms, sign them and return to us with all information requested, as incomplete applications will result in a refusal for a WORKING PERMIT.

Who pays the artist?
- In some cases MF Music is your employer and pays artist.
- In other cases the Venue pays the artist.
- Generally MF Music has to transfer the money to YOUR account.
- Venues usually pay in cash at the end of the engagement.

FOR USA ARTISTS: PLEASE BEAR IN MIND THAT THE SALARIES YOU GET IN USA ARE ALWAYS GROSS !! YOU HAVE TO PAY YOUR TAXES "AFTER".
IN EUROPE THE TAXES HAVE TO BE PAID IN THE COUNTRY YOU WORK SO YOU COST MUCH MORE TO YOUR EMPLOYER THAN THE MONEY YOU GET IN THE HAND
ie: IF YOU MAKE 1000 US$ YOU CAN COST THE VENUE UP TO 1500 US . THE 500 GOES TO TAX OFFICE !! REMEMBER THIS WHEN YOU RECEIVE NET OFFERS !!

What about MF Music's commission?
- Our commission varies from 10-15 % depending on the effort provided by MF Music to book the artist.
- When the artist receives a contract where The Salary is mentioned NET, the artist
should consider the commission already paid.
- When the Venue pays the artist, in some cases the artist has to pay MF Music upon receipt of a bill from MF Music regarding the commission.

Does the venue provide transportation, freight and such?
- Most of the European Venues do NOT pay flights and travels; all this is INCLUDED in the salary !
- In the Far East or Morocco etc.. they usually pay for the flight, but want a long term engagement - so you are stuck there for at least 3 months!

Does the artist have to provide his own sound systems?
All piano-bars have piano & sound system
If you use a bass & drums synth you can hook up to the system. (There are Venues that want one man band type entertainment , others prefer ONLY piano/vocal.
What are the performances schedules?
The usual schedule is: 5 x 45 minutes daily, 6 days a week (except stated otherwise)
What about board and lodging?
Free board and lodging is provided by the Venue wether in the Hotel or in a separate lodging.
WE WORK WITH MANY ARTISTS FROM USA - CANADA - AUSTRALIA and many others
IMPORTANT:

Health Insurance Every artist should have a private Health Insurance that covers their possible medical expenses All Over The World.
If the artists do not have that kind of Insurance, they should check with their local Sickness Insurances in your country of Residence.
This is absolutely needed as artists regularly change employers which are not able to provide them with a sickness insurance at their working place as the period of engagement is usually too short to be able to do so.

Insurance for Instruments: If you have any valuable instruments that you take with you, make sure they are insured as well.
Claiming the Venue where you perform is not possible.
They consider you responsible for your instruments.

Information regarding our general mailings to you:

1- To avoid any confusion or misunderstandings with the artists about the way we proceed with Job openings:
2- We make a general mailing to ALL the artists on our mailing list about Job openings.
3- From artists that reply to our mailing we then make a pre-selection depending on the requirements of the customer.
4- It  is then up to the customer to make his final decision on who they wish to hire.
5- Please understand that we, of course, privilege the artists that work the most for us and with which we have a good experience with previous engagements..
6- If we do not reply to all of you please do not take it personally.
7- You can be sure that if our customers have been considering you as the right person we will let you know immediately.
8- We unfortunately do not know which months you are free as most of the artists do not keep us up to date which would be highly recommended.
