|   KATHY FARMER - 
              pianobar entertainer - jazz vocalist  Hailing from New York City, NY, Kathryn Farmer grew up with jazz
                  all around her in her father’s soul food jazz restaurant
                  in White Plains called The Farmer’s Midway Restaurant.
 Originally having trained as a pianist, Kathryn Farmer received
                her Bachelors Degree in Applied Piano from the renowned New
            England Conservatory of Music.
 Since college she has had a very distinguished
                career as both a pianist-organist and a vocalist. Her piano credits
                include pianist with Clark Terry (1982), David “Fathead” Newman
                (1990) and “Little” Jimmy Scott (1990).
 Among the
                most notable musicians with whom Kathryn has performed on organ,
                are Arthur Prysock (1986-7), Irene Reid (1984-5), Melvin Sparks
                (1983-4), Lester Bowie (1994-7) and James Carter (1998).
 Her outstanding career as a vocalist includes performances and/or
                recordings with Kirk Lightsey (1982-6), Danny Mixon (1985-8),
                Hilton Ruiz (1986-8), John Hicks (1982-2006), Walter Bishop,
                Jr. (1986-1993), David Hazeltine (1991-3), Patato Valdes Latin
                Jazz Band (1998), Lester Bowie (1995), Charles Tolliver, Mulgrew
                Miller, Buster Williams &Wallace Roney (1997), Larry Willis
                (1998-2000, 2006), Cedar Walter and Louis Hayes (2003), Elmer
                Frey (1998), Nikky Morrero (1998), Tito Puente (1999), Pucho
                and his Latin Soul Brothers (2000), Spirit of Life Ensemble (2000-4)
              and The Klezmatics (2004-5).
 Festivals include Montreaux, North Sea, Charlie Parker Memorial,
                Count Basie, Cape May and San Sebastian Jazz Festivals.  Farmer has worked at all of the major New York City area jazz
                clubs including: The Blue Note, The Village Vanguard, Sweet Basil’s,
                Birdland, Alice Tully Hall (Lincoln Center), Cecil’s, Trumpet’s
                and The Lenox Lounge.
 She has performed throughout the United
                States and Puerto Rico, The Caribbean, throughout Europe and
                Eastern Europe, as well as in Turkey, Lebanon and Japan.
