Bobby Hamilton is a pianist/vocalist, entertainer and educator.
His music is influenced by: Barry Harris, Roland Kirk, Jaki Byard,
Junior Mance, Thelonius Monk, to name a few.
He is a seasoned performer whose roots are in New York City
and Upstate NY where he has extensive background in regional
theater as a musical director.
He has been active in the Jazz programs at FM88, Syracuse NY,
and WCNY TV, Liverpool, NY.
Bobby has worked with many artists on the local level, and in
numerous configurations ranging from Solo to Big Band, and has
performed with the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra.
Currently, Bobby Hamilton has been working as a premier lounge
artist in the cruise/vacation/hotel industry where he has fashioned
highly complimented vocal skills to augment his accomplished
piano technique.
Bobby's extensive vocal repertoire includes the music of Fats
Waller, Louis Armstrong, Nat King Cole, and Frank Sinatra. He
is also quite at home in the blues and r&b idioms and with
the music of pop artists like Lou Rawls, Billy Joel and Elton
John.
