He started his career playing in bands in Perth, Western Australia when he was 16. Back then Piano players were very much in the minority and were in great demand. He was very fortunate to work with some great musicians. They didn't have a lot of choices and he guess he was good enough to get the gigs. He kept his mouth shut and hie ears open and learnt his craft.
He was an original member of Manteca, a Jazz Fusion Band that played to 2000 people every Saturday afternoon at the Windsor Hotel, recorded 2 albums under the ABC label filmed 10, 40 minute television shows including a recording and live gig at the Perth Concert Hall with the Perth Symphony Orchestra.
In his career he played in some great bands. One of his favorites The Oralettes (a 6 piece show band playing all original songs) enjoyed audiences of around 1000 people every weekend at Gobbles Night Club. Three of their songs were on high rotation airplay on commercial FM radio.
He have played every type of gig there From pub to corporate gigs, party and dance gigs to 5star cocktail bars, Island Resorts and big city casinos and played all over Australia from Wrest Point Casino in Tasmania. Radisson Treetops Resort, Port Douglas Queensland, Hamilton Island Resort, Whitesunday Island's, Queensland. Ayers Rock Resort, Northern Territory. Cable Beach Resort Broome, West Australia.
He was playing at Ayers Rock Resort in Australia's desert in 1998 when he was invited to open an Australian bar in Dresden, Germany (Ayers Rock Bar).
Since then he have played all over Europe with repeat bookings at Maxim's Piano Bar in Amsterdam. Harry's New York Bar, Intercontinental Hotel, Cologne, Frankfurt Intercontinental Hotel. Grand Arabella Sheraton Munich and Majorca. Ayers Rock Bar Dresden and many more.
He is always re-booked!
