GIL SILVERBIRD - pianist vocalist entertainer

Gil Silverbird is an Apache from Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Born into a 5th generation show business family, he continues the Native American musical traditions of his ancestry and has been performing since childhood. The youngest of three children, he began entertaining at the age of 5, performing with well known artists such as Rodney Dangerfield, Eddie Arnold, Jackie Mason and Allen King. Gil started playing the piano and composing songs at the age of 7.
By the age of 11, Gil was conducting 30 piece orchestras for his family's show, which consisted of his father, mother and two older brothers.
The Silverbird family released Broken Treaties, becoming the first Native American family to release an album on a major label (Capitol Records). They were featured in a Channel 13 special in 1971 called Silverbird.
By the age of 14, Gil had appeared on The Tonight Show, The Mike Douglas Show, and a movie entitled The Birth of a Navajo Family.
Silverbird's more recent accomplishments include and serving as musical director for an off-Broadway play entitled Red Sky.
Has traveled nationally with the Native American Dance Theatre and featured as a soloist with the John Tesh One World Tour." He has also performed live with other well-known artists. In addition to these credits he has performed numerous voice overs and commercials including Faberge, Planter's Peanuts, MTV, TV Guide, and McDonalds.
Additionally, he narrated audio versions of three Tony Hillerman novels: Ghostway, The Sacred Clowns, and The Fallen Man, and was a featured artist with the Cherokee Nation Children's Choir on their 2002 CD release  “Building One Fire” Gil's acting credits include appearances in "Enemy Territory", The Royal Tennenbaums, The Dave Chappelle Show and the 2002 season premiere of The Sopranos.
He was also a part of a movie entitled The Conquest of America which aired on the History Channel in 2005.
Now he is in Europe and the European pianobars can have the pleasure of listening to this excellent and charming entertainer.
Gil sings in several languages; Italian, English, Spanish, French, German and off course English.

Gil is just a pleasure to work with.
Easy to have as guest in the Hotel and loved by his audience.
