MITCHELL ZLOKOWER - pianobar entertainer

MITCHELL ZLOKOWER sings and plays jazz standards and popular songs. He has hundreds of songs in his repertoire including swingers and ballads, bossa nova, contemporary, comedy, and French chansons.

Mitch sings the works of Cole Porter, Rodgers and Hart, the Gershwins, Berlin, Kern and Fields, Schwartz and Dietz, Styne and Cahn, Van Heusen and Burke, Warren and Dubin, Jobim, and Trenet--as well as Billy Joel, the Beatles, the Bee Gees and favorite requests.

Mitch has sung throughout New York and New England at hotels and resort lounges as well as private parties and special events. He has performed in New York at the Sofitel Hotel's Brasserie, Le Poeme, and Danny's Grand Sea Palace, in New Hampshire at the Crowne Plaza Hotel and Resort in Nashua (where he was house vocalist/pianist for two years) and at the Mount Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods. For the winter season of 2002-2003, Mitch was a resident singer/pianist at the Ritz-Carlton Resorts in Naples, Florida where he led a trio as well as performing as a solo singer/pianist. He followed that with two contracts on Holland-America Cruise Ships, first on the MS Zuiderdam in April, 2003, and then the MS Veendam for five months from May to September, 2003, sailing in the Carribbean, Central and South America, and, during the summer of 2003, Vancouver, British Colombia, and the coast of Alaska.

Mitch's other professional credits include co-writing the booklet accompanying Frank Sinatra: The Complete Singles, the four-C.D. box set on Capitol Records (nominated for a Grammy Award for "Best Album Notes"), as well as the essays for Great American Songwriters, the five-C.D. series on Rhino Records.

Mitch is available for lounges, restaurants, parties, weddings, ships, special events, can bring groups from trio to five-piece, and happily takes requests from a vast knowledge of jazz standards and classic songs.
