Viva began her performing career in San Francisco at age seven, singing show tunes with her mother in the San Francisco Theater underground. Viva, the product of an Italian American mother and African-American father has had musical interests as varied and mixed as her ethnic and cultural background.
 
In her early teens she performed with Le Miz, an all female, Broadway musical review, as well as many small choirs and ensembles.
 
In her late teens, Viva put her musical interests aside to pursue a film and television acting career. She made guest appearances in such shows as "Fresh Prince of Bel Air", "A Different World" and "Cop Rock".

Viva has just recently rediscovered her joy and passion for music, returning to the pursuit of music and performing live in 2001.
 
Viva's greatest delight and solace comes from classic soul, blues, jazz and funk. "One of my deepest passions is listening to fantastic live music. Being able to sing and perform is just an extension of the energy and bliss I receive from listening. Listening is everything."

Viva made her way to Asia in September 2003 where she performed at The Island Shangri-La Lobster Bar for three months. From there she went to Hong Kong's 97 Group where she performed at such venues as Post 97, Club 97 and Kee Club. Then onto Shanghai’s Park 97, Coco Blues, The Royal Orchid Sheraton in Bangkok and others. She also collaborates with other musicians in and around Asia and has appeared at the Peninsula Hotel, Grand Hyatt and various corporate functions. Her corporate clients include Omega, The Forum, Swvarski, Park n Shop, Watson's and many others.
 
In Los Angeles Viva has worked with the Cadillac Zack Blues Band (performing on the Emmy Award winning show "Will and Grace"),
JJ "Bad Boy" Jones, Sol Reflexion, and others. Viva is also currently working independently in the studio on a contemporary soul jazz album and hopes for its release in 2008.
