YAZZMIN - jazz vocalist with pianist
Miss Yazzmin is an exotic mix of Denmark India and Africa.
Most of her life she has been singing and is known for having
a voice that melts right into your heart...
The genre extends from funky and jazzy soul with a little twist
of blues, to pop and house. The groove is special and different
with a crisp twist of impertinence.
With parents in the music industry, Miss Yazzmin was bound to
become a musician herself.
Among other things she has been dedicated to gospel for many
years.
As a soloist in Copenhagen Gospel Choir and Copenhagen Gospel
Singers she has been performing and touring all over the world. ”Gospel
makes me a better person.” Its a huge part of my heart
and I cannot imagine how I would feel without having it in my
life...
Another huge passions of hers, is Salsa and all sorts of Latin
grooves. At the age of 20, she started singing and dancing in
the big salsa group Salsazucar, followed by many other Latin
groups, including Jorge Cordero.
- This is the vivid side of Yazzmin that you have to experience.
Over the years, she has attended many singing and dancing courses.
Today, she is an amazing performer that covers everything from
jazz, soul, funk, lounge, house, pop, salsa, samba and disco.
Besides the variety of private singing lessons and workshops
she has attended through the years, Yazzmin is educated from
the Complete Vocal Institute, Europe’s largest singing
school. Her mentor is the big Guru herself, Cathrine Sadolin.
As Yazzmin says: ”I’m very interested in everything
that has to do with music. I like to explore the history of music
and I like to develop my mind. To me that is very important...
I like to feel that I am constantly moving and improving. Cathrine
has given me so much and I strongly feel that I learned a lot
about finding a healthier way of singing so that I can survive
in the business, no matter what”.
Yazzmin has also been working together with many of Denmark’s
great musicians such as MC Clemens, top producer Thomas Ezicut,
Jan Winther, Naftey (bombay rockers), Nocando etc.
At the age of 21 she joined the big pop group Cargo. They had
a great deal of success throughout Denmark and Europe.
Shortly after she left the band, Yazzmin decided to go solo.
Today, Yazzmin is ready for the world... She is currently in
the studio with a great producer team experimenting and composing
her own songs.
Now you can experience her and her talented pianist at different
locations all over Europe.
